This place is more reasonably priced than other bakeries in the area. The baked goods and Thai Ice Tea were delicious. The customer service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance is convenient store/takeout set up, but it works for this business. I will return whenever I'm in the area.

--Location/Parking-- Located in a strip mall known as Chinatown. There is limited parking on the weekend, because you are fighting the crowd from the supermarket and the next door restaurant. --Ambiance-- Bakery was full of pastries to choose from. I came during the afternoon, which could explain some gaps in the shortage of pastries. Reminds me of a Chinese restaurant selling pastries. Simple and straightforward. Nothing over the top. --Service/Staff-- The staff is amazing in explaining the area and their recommendations on food and where to buy groceries. I will always be grateful to the helpful staff. --Food/Products-- Delicious pastries that are so many to choose from. There are various drinks to order, but the bulk of their business seems to be on the pastries available. --Overall-- Recommended if you are in the area for Asian pastries, but the parking on the weekend can sometimes be challenging.

For those who are trying to buy Asian styled cakes, Family baking is definitely one of those places that can fulfill that. And if you're vegan, this is the place to get your cake. Usual cakes are super sweet and that's why I've always been turned down on eating cakes. But with family baking, it's not too sweet and hits just right. I have bought multiple times from here their vegan cakes, and they have never missed the mark. You just have to remember to call ahead to place your order and they'll have it ready for pick up depending on when you want it. The owner is always helpful and kind whenever we visited. They have vegan bakery goods as well, if you're ever trying to stay away from eggs. Of course they have Asian styled baked breads and items. They do have seating here in case you want to eat here, but we just got our stuff to go. I would highly highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a vegan cake and especially if you're looking for a cake that's not extremely sweet. I look forward to coming back here for years to come for their cakes.

Family Baking is located in Chinatown. It also goes by the name Rolls Village. They are one in the same. The hubs said this place has been around for a long time. The ownership has changed since the original owners thought this place wouldn't last. But indeed it has. The drinks were decent from the last time we tried them with friends. But the baked goods were superb. No frills. Just simple and tasty. One example is the pork floss. The bread was super soft and chewy with a good amount of pork floss. Remembering similar items elsewhere, the bread may be a tad larger, but it wasn't as soft or flavorful. FYI: There's a $10 card min. And for some darn reason I already have a review of Rolls Village. I've come thus far with this review and not giving up. Haha. I did bump up the stars after coming back a second time though. * shoulder shrug *

We ordered 2 birthday cakes from here, one vegan and one non-vegan, and all our guests really enjoyed them. Even though the majority of our guests are not vegan, the vegan mango cake was the first to go. The cakes come in either 6" or 8". We placed the order by phone two days beforehand. I picked the cakes up, and it was an easy process. The owner is very nice. Would definitely order cakes again from here.

I stumbled upon this bakery on Yelp after searching for vegan cakes. I rarely hear of Asian vegan cakes, so I was intrigued. I ordered two 8" cakes -- one vegan mango cake and one non-vegan chocolate fruit cake. That was plenty to feed 20 people after some lunch. Everyone really enjoyed the cakes! They were light and fluffy and "not too sweet" but sweet enough to be an indulgent dessert. My vegan friend raved about the mango cake and took the rest home. I haven't tried their pastries yet, but it looks like they have a good selection of vegan and non-vegan Chinese pastries! Owner is very friendly too.

Where do you begin to start about this amazing family owned bakery. They have so many wonderful baked goods. I can only comment specifically on the vegan items, as our family is vegan. We go here all the time. Wonderful drinks as well. The owners are so kind and just amazing people. I stopped in on Sunday to order a Vegan Strawberry cake for my daughter's upcoming birthday. I was worried that it may have been too late to order. This was the only thing she wanted was their Vegan Strawberry Cake. We stopped in and ordered the cake for a Monday evening pick up. Cake orders are picked up after 4 pm and before 7 when they close. They are closed on Tuesday, so we had to grab it on Monday. Not only was this cake still moist and delicious it was absolutely amazing. They sent with it the smaller stick candles, and a cake cutter as well. Thank You for making my daughter's 14th bday cake. It was delicious and almost too pretty to eat!

Asian bakery with vegan options. We came here as we needed egg free cakes. Before placing our order, we bought some cake samples that are in the fridge. We tried the mango and the black forest. We enjoyed the mango over the black forest. The chocolate base was a bit chalky for us. They apparently also have green tea with red bean cake and tiramisu as vegan cake options. Staff is super friendly and helpful with my questions.
